Where are we now… 2025
The sunrise filters through our window, lighting Dartmoor’s soft hills in the distance. We walk Alfred down the hedge-lined road to the Cornish coast, the sea shifting to autumn’s cooler blue, salt and wind reminding us how lucky we are to be home. Later, we drive to Antony, where our new base at the Rame Innovation Hub—a quiet converted stone barn—now belongs to us for the year.
The bag
While Code 4 bags reduce landfill waste and are better than single-use options, the requirement to use supermarkets for recycling can feel counterintuitive for small roasters who aim to support more independent, local systems. Supermarket recycling hubs make it easier for customers to recycle, but relying on them may reinforce the influence of large chains that have challenged the survival of smaller producers.

Life isn’t just about reaching your goals—it’s about having the courage to aim high and celebrating every effort along the way.
