Where are we now… 2025
The sunrise comes through our bedroom window, facing north, where in the distance we see the beauty of the undulations of a watercolour Dartmoor.

We clip on Alfred’s harness and we walk some 100yds before our gaze fixates adoringly on the ocean of the south Cornish coast. We head down the steep road with high hedges, privileged at the site before us - and now in September the hue has changed from a welcoming come-and-swim Royal blue to a maybe-walk-beside-me French blue. Fringes of white peaks interspersed as the strong south-westerlies kick up a frenzy on the outgoing tide. The airborne sea salt caresses our lips and cheeks, the wind gusts capture our conversations and we recognise that if nothing else we are incredibly lucky to be here. Along the coast to the west, my parents once lived. Further along again, so did Peter’s. So much has happened in that time and now, decades on we have come back home.

We grab our laptops and a sandwich and jump in the car. We drive 2.5 miles and we arrive…gravel under tyre, a breeze teasing the ancient tree decorated in a changing autumnal hue, a cockerel proud and slightly late in it’s alarm call, the church bells and the laughter of children in the playground of the village primary school. How we love these occurrences. Other than that…it is almost silent - peaceful - restful - we take in a breathe - our new premises at the Rame Innovation Hub in Antony - a converted stone barn, where ‘Genevieve’ now stands. Ours for a year …
