Gasharu works with 1,075 small farmers in the area, close to Nyangwe Forest National Park, which is one of Africa's largest mountain rainforests and home to 25% of the continent's primates. The coffee is managed by Valentin Kamenyi, who grew up in rural Rwanda in the 1990s. Coffee holds great meaning for him and his community.
