Happiness is a Sunday afternoon…

Happiness is a Sunday afternoon in mid September …sitting in the ‘what was a beautifully colourful but is now heading towards autumnal resting phase’ garden with my laptop and a mug of our very own roasted coffee.

It’s been busy for the Lars & Margo team in the coffee Roastery since starting up back in July. We can confirm our coffee (beans or ground) can now be found on the shelves of three retail units in Cornwall and Devon; we are looking to expand…so do pop back to the website for updates. This weekend our coffee hit the Liskeard Produce Market (one for the diary - second Saturday of every month) - super fun and highly enjoyable. We were among a terrific band of traders offering so much delicious fodder and vintage curiosities alongside an equally lovely bunch of visitors - after all, where would we be without them? There certainly weren’t many who walked away empty handed. I was ‘seller’ of the whole coffee beans, Peter was on rota for ‘grinding’. Wishing to meet the needs of our customers, we provided an ‘on request’ service - reducing on wastage - whilst promising only that which is required…no more and no less.

As we say…the beauty of small batch, hand roasted coffee AND a small team!

Covid has put a scupper on Cornwall’s tourism industry to a certain degree but we have been thrilled to have our ground 100gm bags of coffee going into the welcome hamper of a stylish, vintage-meets-contemporary inspired, Airbnb here in Liskeard, Old Railway Cottage. This is an area we would love to expand further into, so if anyone may be interested then please do drop us a line.

And so, as the weekend draws to a close, we prepare for a week ahead. First job tomorrow morning…off to the post office - we have orders to be dispatched!

So, take care everyone - stay safe - enjoy coffee x
